Reporting from Maui

On day one, Saturday, we settled into our Hale Kameole condo in Kihei Beach. By 4 pm we were swimming in the beach directing across/in front of our condo, Kameole Beach 3:

On day two, Sunday, we got our snorkel gear together and went to Ulua beach in Wailea, and saw a bunch of fish and

turtle at Ulua…a giant sea turtle! Melinda and I were ready to swim ashore because we had seen quite a bit of  sealife around this coral reef, when we encountered this creature, swimming a couple of feet from us. (Not my photo). Here are some other fish we saw today (also not my photos, thank you Google images):

Then home for a homemade tropical smoothie: pineapple, coconut milk, passion fruit/guava juice, lime, mango and local banana. Wow!

Neato! Glad to picture you floating freely about, watching for sea life and slurping delicious fruity smoothies. Just the thing, eh? But isn’t school still on for Grace? Or did she manage to get away too? We plan to follow in your footsteps in August. Maybe catch the same green sea turtles that I love so much.
